How to practice case interviews
Read the prompt, take 60–90 seconds to lay out a structure, then state it clearly with a hypothesis. This free simulator gives you one realistic prompt and an instant critique of your opening. The full BoardroomIQ engine runs complete, timed, multi-turn cases.
What makes a strong opening
A good structure is MECE, tailored to the specific prompt (not a memorized framework), and stated with confidence and a hypothesis. For the profit case below, a strong candidate starts from Profit = Revenue − Cost, notes revenue is flat so the issue is likely on the cost side, and lays out the cost drivers to investigate.
